**** you voters in Maine.
Yesterday, Maine voters voted to overturn a state law which would have allowed same-sex marriage in Maine. This is so disappointing, especially coming from a state renowned for its independent streak and it's live and let live attitude.
In other news, voters in Washington state voted to keep a law which extends all rights of marriage to gay couples, without calling it marriage, and it's only all the rights at a state level, not a federal level. Basically, they're trying for separate but equal, but separate is never really equal.

So can two men get married without being gay?
I'm not trying to be antagonistic; I'm just asking...I know first-hand that some wheelchair users don't (<-EDIT from "do" to "don't") appreciate being called "wheelchair-bound" because they can physically remove themselves from their chair when they want to. I want to know if this is a similar situation.
I figured asking you, someone who's gay, whether gay people generally care if it's referred to as same sex marriage or gay marriage would garner a true response. If you don't want to generalize/speak for others, do you care?

Although, it really makes sense for it to be Argentina, if any of them...one of the most European countries down there...I'd expect the next one is Uruguay or Chile...probably Uruguay...gays can already get civil unions and jointly adopt there...

The verdict of the court case regarding Prop. 8 is coming out today, between 1 PM and 3 PM PST...so 4-6 EST...
...I'm hoping that it gets overturned...
