It's called a progress topic, because I just very recently started to draw. I want to see how I do months from now compared to now. >_> Anyways, here's a picture I drew in the span of 20 minutes. I never bothered to finish the face, but meh. You can tell that on the left side of the hair, there's part of a giant eye I didn't properly erase, olo. The eyes originally were abnormally large, so I had to fix them. I'll post the image without that eye soon. I might add a mouth too.

My dad's scanner needs to stop sucking. Took me forever to get this to scan properly. Anyways, I decided to add a mouth. It makes her look boyish, so yeah. Also, I tried to make the head a little thinner. You know, at first I was going to draw a boy, but I suck with drawing male hair, so I just decided to draw a girl instead.

If you just started drawing, don't you suck at everything?

Use shapes as a base. a circle for the head, then draw the chin protrusion. Eyes are halfway between the top of the head and the chin, approximately, a little higher is fine too. Bottom of the nose is halfway between the eyes and chin, mouth is halfway between the nose and chin. Even when not wearing lipstick, people have noticeable lips, so find some way of doing that. Different people do different things. Make your eyes a little smaller, or don't exaggerate the lines coming off the sides, because they look a little weird otherwise. Remember eyebrows. Necks seem simple, but have all sorts of bumps in them that make detail possible. Learn how noses are shaped. People have ears, and pupils. Mouths don't go off to the side of the face, and are smooth, they aren't jaggedy.

I want to see how you draw hands. Those are always interesting.

I hate hands. I really, really hate hands.
As a side note, this was just a random drawing I did without any polishing, so it's not going to follow your criticism. Thanks a lot though. I always appreciate suggestions.
