And with the personality to match. Thats the theme I was going for with her. Okay that's fine by me. I just felt it was my duty to prevent another use of that annoying-ass cliche.
Being cliche doesnt always mean 'bad'. What do you find most annoying about evolution? There are only a handful of ways a character can obtain more power, and all of them have been done more than once. Fusion of any kind, training, evolution, age or time, items, weapon upgrades, reinventing an original technique, the need to protect, strong emotions... what a 'Breakthrough' is
i'm pretty sure it's a bankai A Bankai is about a relationship and understanding...complicated stuff I dont remember. I'm aiming for something much simpler. Its like the state of true potential, but the character's own limitations is what prevents it from being a permanent souce of power.

Evolution's not a cliche, it's a process. It's evolutionary "levels" and "stages" that's the cliche, and it's not how the process works. Every time I hear the X-men say that mutants are such and such, I wince too. That's just not how evolution works at all, and as someone who has a basic amount of respect for the sciences, not using bad science as a plot excuse just seems right to me. A Bankai is about a relationship and understanding...complicated stuff I dont remember.

Well, then Breakthrough is a decent name. The only other one that comes to mind is realization or actualization, but it doesn't flow quite as well.

I see. You raise a good point, Saltine.
Well, now I can finally toss the evolution explanation thanks to Ahriman's...comment.
Comparing it to the concept of Bankai allowed me to search for a deeper meaning behind it. "The state of ones true potential" sounds much better.

Decided to color the line art of 'Blazer' I posted a while back. Blazer is the Guardian of the Star Voldarius and possesses the power of fire. Out of the entire cast, he has the highest physical attack strength, just barely surpassing Steel's. The pillars of flames that rise from his legs and shoulders are directly linked to the fire that shapes his body, acting as extra limbs or a source of stronger flames. Projectile attacks created from these flames are more intense and can be controlled, but they drain more stamina. Blazer's Elemental Limit Breakthrough, "White Out", converts all physical attack power into flame intensity. In this form, the flames of his body turn pure white in color an become even hotter. Due to the high amount of energy Blazer's Breakthough consumes, he can only maintain this form for about 15 seconds. By converging the 4 pillars of white flames in front of his extended arms, Blazer unleashes his most destructive attack, "Bursting Blaze". The attack itself is a small homing sphere that burns through any obsitcle to deliver a giant explosion once the target is in range.

Don't make big deal about it. I've been envious of your artistic skills for a while now, and that's an especially good piece.

Thanks, Saltine.
MS Paint was really put to the test with that one...

No lie. I did it in MS Paint. I draw the characters on paper, scan, then color them in Paint...

Using Pansage and Simisage as templates, I created an electric type addition to the Generation 5 monkey trio.

The monkeys were so pointless, it's like they made the coolest one(Simipour) and figured "Hey let's make monkeys of the other two starter types, even though we already have Infernape!".

Lawl, they weren't too bad. Not good enough to stay in your party the whole game, but they worked well in the begining.
I think Simisage had the best design of the 3.
