wasn't like, petey piranha one of the most hated possibilities bandied about on the brawl general board before that game came out

I think Waluigi and Daisy both had bigger hatewagons back in the day, but yeah it's nuts to me that Petey is technically sorta playable in this game.

That being said Daisy is now also playable and Waluigi is like the number one biggest salt deposit mine right now when it comes to deconfirmations.

The funny thing is I've been hearing about people wanting Waluigi in ever since the Melee days and yet he's the last one considered for this one.
The Piranha Plant reveal felt like an inanimate carbon rod moment for Waluigi fans and it's hilarious.
Needless to say PP it's my 2nd favorite enemy from the Mario series, after Boo.

The DLC thing has me intrigued though. What characters would they add next? The most obvious picks are all either in, or dropped as ATs or Spirits. Bringing up somebody who's already in the game in some form would be pretty weird.
Not to mention Namco and Square are the only 3rd parties with only one guest character, and I can see them leaving something as DLC material rather than having it right on the go (if anything Capcom and Konami going all out was pretty unexpected, unless there's still more).

A guy who has guessed/leaked a lot of previous characters has indicated a Square Enix rep and some sort of Minecraft content, not sure if that means a character or not. Otherwise, I honestly have no idea who else gets in. Piranha Plant means there's essentially no rules.
