For a horribly unbalanced game, Haunted Castle still manages to be fun to play once in a while.

I have it on PS4 and beat it thanks to unlimited continues but jesus that game is a fucking ball buster.

Didn't know about unlimited continues in other versions... how does the score system work in those? The idea of having only 3 lives is to limit the game so you don't keep looping through it infinitely. Does it just end at the last stage?

Also, I guess I'll get to beat the GB games when I get time since those are the only classic ones I haven't.

Honestly I don't pay attention to the score so I have no idea. From what I remember, you still have lives, it just picks up at check points on the level if you lose them all.

the first GB game is the worst game in the series by far but belmont's revenge is great, legends i haven't beaten because its like 80 dollars for a copy

Yeah, there was a reason why I never bothered with it. I did however go all the way through it today, just because it's my duty as a vampire hunter.
I'm not sure what was worse about it: Christopher's speed or the fact he loses his power-ups with each hit. These were the major reasons of my many deaths.

I did beat Legends long ago, and while it's somewhat better than this one, it still doesn't live up to the fact it was released nearly 10 years after it.

Belmont's Revenge is legit pretty great though. There's some frustrating parts still but its a marked improvement.

Good game. Legit hard too.

I'd say I've beaten every classic Castlevania title by now, but I don't feel like touching SNES Dracula X again, or the MSX version of the original...

I was playing Dracula X a few days ago, that game is too much of a frustrating experience to sit through and the less I need to say about the Dracula fight the better.

I've beaten Dracula X somehow but yeah that final fight is insane.

i've emulated vampire killer and its cool as a curio but i don't think i could ever actually go through with it and beat it

So Nintendo finally got to give us an eShop, and thus Online Service is cheaper than it would be otherwise. Won't even need to use an American account.
Next week we'll be free from work because national celebrations, so I'll have my time to try out the trial. Everything's a-ok.

Yeah, the NES didn't have a very good library of multiplayer games to begin with.
Can't get much from it unless they decide to also add SNES later in.

When no one was looking, Omar beat both Vampire Killer and SNES Dracula X. He beat both of them. That means he officially beat all classic Castlevania games. And that's terrible.
