I remember this anime from my childhood. Good times.
Highly unlikely, considering that it's fairly recent. Not necessarilly, depends on your definition of the word "recent". It was released as an anime in 1993. The manga is only recently being translated on OM though. Exactly. I remember this anime from my childhood. Good times.

Thought I'd give this topic a healthy bump since they recently finished translating the entire manga on Onemanga. So if anyone's looking for a really good complete series, I'd recommend this. It starts off a bit slow, but it has quickly become one of my favorites.
