IVs are Individual Values which if I recall correctly are invisible and you can't change them.... There's a number range which can tell you if you have a good number/value or a bad one.
I hate IVs because they're random and getting a good pokémon with one is annoying when you consider you have to first work it out and there it has to have the right nature....
EVs are ones you still can't see but you can change these. Think of them as invisible experience points.... You get them from battles and each pokémon will give you 1-3 EVs in a certain stat when you get so many EVs in one stat you'll notice that stat will have gone up more than the rest when you level up.... Iron, protein and such are like the rare candies of EVs.
Oh yeah, you can only ad so many EVs and so many to each stat....
That's stupid, tedious, and ridiculous. Isn't it just.... Raising the perfect Pokémon is almost as hard as finding a shiny.... Hard to believe that Pokémon is actually really complex.... |

I don't mind complexity in Pokemon, but I prefer that most of the complexity actually revolve around the battles, team roles, moves learned, items held, and pure strategy, rather than grinding until you have a Pokemon, then doing all the rest. |

Alright, I seriously hate to say it, because there's a strong possibility that they'd **** the franchise beyond recognition, but I'd like to see a big-time publisher other than Gamefreak take a crack at Pokemon. I don't know, anything would be better, like Bioware, or Square if they could get 'em.
I just think Gamefreak is keeping the franchise too stale.
