For my 3D works, because I can. This model has changed a bit from what you see here, but I'm too lazy to make another pic of it right now. Also, the background is just default. It is part of a larger project.

I thought it looked kind of cool, so... here it is. Just me testing lighting effects along with sky orientation to give it a slightly surreal look. I put the tree there just because.

This was another minor model made by myself some time ago... I think I must have deleted it, but I still have this: Again, neutral background.

Just a quick point, there is an art board for this kind of stuff.
That said, these are impressive.

It will fit there better. I suppose so. Before I made this topic I was not sure about whether people would consider this 'art' like I do or not. Just a quick point, there is an art board for this kind of stuff.
That said, these are impressive.
Thanks a lot.

Texturally modified spaceship escaping from an explosion somewhere over an ocean. Might use the ship again for something else...

Its a basic program that has been around from WAY back;
Bryce. The version I'm using the 6th. If your interested, it costs $100 to download, or [I think] you can get a free copy of version 5, which is not really that different from version 6. I've already mastered everything in that program, and I've got to say, it is definitely one of the best starting programs I have ever seen.

It really only takes up a lot of power when rendering, and that's one of the things I love best about the program; it has a preview window in the top left hand corner of the screen, and the manipulation area in the center of the screen shows everything you've made in wire frame, so no lag or loading times when you twist your camera for a better angle unless you've got a LOT going on. Of course, there are settings for that kind of thing, like how detailed your wire frames look before rendering, how good the quality of the render is...

So, since I've never used one of these before, let me guess how the process goes. First, you take wireframes, and make shapes out of them, which is the foreground. Next, you take textures, and assign them to wireframes and portions of wireframes, much like the tag function of Dreamweaver. Then you add effects, pick a background and lighting, change your camera angle, and render, correct?
