Zanpakuto Rebelion...
They're showing all the Zanpakuto true forms. Looks really interesting so far.
I can't tell who belongs to who for most of the true forms yet...

230 is only the first episode, so nothing too major happens...Spoilerz...
Basically all the Zanpakuto stop listening/refusing to release. Byakuya's cuts his hand during a Bankai match with Renji, for example. Byakuya promtly ends the match when that happens...
The Captain Commander goes missing after a break-in, and his Vice captain is defeated.
There's more, but you should just watch it. :u

I'm a little confused, though... The group of people right at the beginning of the episode were zanpakuto spirits, right?

Wait, nevermind. I get it now.
I just couldn't work out if Muramasa was the only non-zanpakuto of the group. Or, depending on how it turns out, the only zanpakuto spirit whose owner we haven't met.
But there is still something I'm confused about. I was under the impression that Hyourinmaru's real form was a big ice dragon (shown in the manga), and Zabimaru's real form was a baboon with a snake for a tail. But now we find out that instead they're a guy with green-blue hair & an X-shaped scar, and a woman that's chained up a boy with a long tail?

I thought that as well, but I guess those weren't Hyourinmaru and Zambimaru true forms. All true forms must be humanoid...

Bullshit. Absolute bullshit. The only humanoid zanpakuto shown outside of filler is Zangetsu, and Ichigo's pretty unique already. While I could accept that whatever's making the zanpakuto rebel also makes them appear in a humanoid form, it's not their true form. |

And I didn't get Zabimaru until I saw the very end of the credits with the spirits turning into the shikais. I guess we'll know who or what Muramasa is later on...

To be perfectly honest, beyond having one head, two arms and two legs, some of the spirits don't look that human. Look at Hozukimaru, he's pretty much a big ape. And Ashisogi Jizo looks like some kind of butterfly with a baby head. I could very easily believe that these are the true forms, even if they're not what I was expecting. |
