This is a dream (CYOA)[DO NOT POST, BUT YOU CAN READ]

As you start swimming, you feel something. Nothing important, just half your leg being eaten by a crocodile like creature. Of course, you are wounded.
You barely made it where you started swimming and the creature does not follow you. Well, apart crying for the part of you which is missing, you can walk your way further.

You'll have to fight every fighter in the village! Roll both for you and them each turn adding Strength. They have 2 in it (because of their weapons). Highest score wound the opponent, draw does nothing. You have to cause eight wounds to win! Did you win?

You won? Lucky bastard! Well, this won't help you much, as the only people able to help you are dead! What will happen now is another story.

She point out the altar at the center of of the village.

"See? I was performing a ritual that would have made the hero of light appear upon us and guide us again to peace, as in the past."

She point out some damaged part of a ritual circle painted on it.

"But I cannot perform the ritual before we were under attack and as I was finishing the soul summon, one of the enemy tried to cancel the invocation. This explain why you appeared that far... and why this is not the soul I was looking for in it. I am sorry for all this..."

You wonder now, how to go back to your world?

"That is easy. Your soul is tied by an old ritual, that make you live your new life as you are used to, but you then travel to this body when sleeping. You can say you live in a dream, except it is real. All of this will stop when you will bring peace to the world again. It is part of the ritual."

So now you have two lives. Great!

"But I have to warn you. Your presence in this world is not desired by the Void lord, the one who wage war around the planet. He may even know I summoned you and he will try to kill you whenever possible... and I can't tell if this will affect your other life. Maybe... you will die there, too.

Not so great!

Seeing these new informations, will you suggest to run, or to fight?

"I cannot blame you for your choice, as you are not the hero. I will praise for your safety."

You decide that staying in this place any longer won't help you much. The priestress indicated you a town where you may be able to live in peace for now, not too far away. Two days of walking awaits you!

[NPC Overlord Nikoleis]

"Are you fighting... for us? Oh thanks goodness!"

She seems really pleased by your choice.

"Oh, my name is Maybelle and this place is called Tokapa. But before you try anything, you should take some rest, right?"

People in the village are taking care of you, healing you from one wound you may have earned before. Also, you are given a spear for your future fights. You can add 1 to your strength in fights, but if you roll 2, 3 or 4, it will break during the assault. It is noted (+1/4).

After all this, she indicate you that the people who have attacked them seems to have a camp not far away. It look like the best place to strike, so you decide to go kicking some asses, before they do the same on you!

Now knowing where to go, the forest doesn't seems as dangerous as before! Walking straight to your destination for some time now, you notice something odd. Look like something's smelling like burning!

Will you investigate, or get away from this place?

As you approach, you exit the forest to discover a camp being under attack! The tribal looking people seems to be losing, while the invader are slaughtering everyone, not letting anyone simply wounded. Is it time to run, watch, or fight?

You're taking some distance from this place but only to discover that a marching army is coming from the opposite direction! They spot you immediately and some cavaliers in dark approach in your direction, with a obvious need of blood and guts. Yours, of course. Are you going to retaliate, or run in the opposite direction?

The battle is turning into an onslaugh, only the best fighters in the camp remains. You see that the armored soldiers are in fact empty, only the metal remain. There are only a few combatants left on both side. Will you try to save the few tribal guys left, or wait, well hidden, for the fight to end and continue on your way?

You take everyone by surprise, rushing from your cover into the fight. Soon, you succefully backstab one of the armored guy, but there are many more. Roll your strength against a 9 or be wounded in the heat of the battle, and decide what to do now.

Seems to be a tough guy in front of you...

Weapon: Steel spear (+2/2)
Armor: Dark armor (4/12)
Wounds: 2

If you happen to win, you can go either to the place you smelt fire or take advantage of the situation to slip away. Oh, and don't forget your opponent's weapon, if it's not broken!
If you lose, however, your opponent didn't kill you.

You're running the fastest you can, but is it enough?
Roll under your Agility (6). Upon success, you will be able to flee but else, fighting is your only option.

Your bravery alone won't make it. You are outnumbered, outpowered, surrounded... The few guys left are exhausted and can't fight anymore. Soon, it will be your turn. You're about to be killed, when you passes out

Still advancing, you find a town on your way. Thinking about the daytime, you think it would be a good idea to settle down for the night. You just have to find someone kind enough to let you sleep inside their house.
But as you enter, you see the place is not the most active you have ever seen. In fact, it seems... dead. Oh, there ARE people, but, they seems oppressed. You are still visiting the place, when someone approach from behind.

"Hey you! I nerar see you rat face on my wai."

Goodness gracious, that gentleman kind of have some elocution disorder!

"Mind if I askin for ya money? Y'know, shiney..."

He then release a dagger from his sleeves! Since you have nothing to give him, you know what will ensue!

Weapon: Dagger (+0/4, allow to use Agility instead of Strength). Wear 2.

Wounds: 2

If you win... he bow in fear, saying "Thife! Thife!", not understanding why... until a guard in heavy dark armor decide to knock you down from behind. It will take some time, but soon, you're awake.
