I think we add the "I'm:" field so we could know who new users were, but it didn't affect older accounts.

Actually, I was under the impression that the I'm field was editable by normal users, whereas the Username field was the way for the staff (and the entire site for that matter) to keep track of users who keep changing profiles... And yes, the Username profile is required by new accounts while older accounts are unaffected unless I stumble across one that doesn't have their original username (or likeness) in their profiles somewhere and add it in manually. Also, I agree with Hawk, Sas. <_< |
