I'm actually not sure... Usually, I just make my avatars 100x100 pixels. Some of the other mods might know more.

I'd recommend 100x100, any more and the auto-resize may kill your picture.

For mood changes, go to your profile page, then forum profile information. The mood tab should be at the bottom.

Eh, I just let Auto-resize do its work.
To resize sigs, add "Width=X Height=Y" to the first img tag.
