Sunday 27th March

3:41pm
Okay, my team is levelled up, Victory Road has been cleared of items, now onto the next loose end: Entei and Raikou. Today I'm going to be concentrating on finding and capturing them. Hopefully the former shouldn't be too difficult since they've been practically stalking me, so it's just a matter of actually catching them...

3:56pm
Okay, Raikou is now down to just 1HP after repeated False Swipes, now I just need to actually capture it... I just hope Cheshire is fast enough.

5:18pm
YES! Raikou is mine! It took over two hours, but I finally got him with the very last Quick Ball I had in stock. See, after my Fast Balls were all used up, I decided to just put Raikou to Sleep with Cheshire, then run away. Since his health and status ailments carry over into each encounter until he's been knocked out, I could just run into him again and again and throw a Quick Ball during my first turn, without having to worry about putting him to Sleep first. It's time-consuming, but hey, it works. And I was at the point in a Legendary Pokemon capture attempt where the only thing left to do is keep throwing balls at him, since he was at 1HP and asleep. Why waste loads of Ultra or Great Balls when I can tip the odds in the favour of a more specialised, but as a result more effective, Ball? Besides, Quick Balls are cheaper than Ultra Balls, and they don't take a day to make like Fast Balls. Speaking of which, I think I'll wait until tomorrow to try and catch Entei, so I can try the Fast Balls again. And straight after I've caught him, I'll be taking on the Elite 4 and finally finishing the Johto portion of this game. Until tomorrow, then!

BTW, I think this might be the first time I've caught a Roaming pokemon without the help of a Master Ball. Go me!
