Now levelling up with Kefka. Hoo boy, this could take a while...

I forget, is it because you don't like playing as Kefka, or is it for another reason?

Kefka's okay, it's just that some levels are harder for him to play on than others as he has very poor aerial maneuverability. Add this to the fact that I currently have a rather sub-standard moveset assigned to him...

Yeah, I see how that could turn out to be quite annoying.

Yeah... The main problem with his aerial maneuvering is that he drops like a stone for some reason. This is particularly annoying in Ultimecia's Castle, and I'm not looking forward to fighting Kuja.

Of course, you could probably save yourself a lot of trouble leveling if you just abused all the EXP multipliers.

With this game I want to level up normally so I can get proper experience with all the characters. Hence why I never used the Exdeath/Magic Pot trick. Not to mention "mastering" all their attacks in the process.

So whenever he does an aerial attack, he falls down almost instantly?

Pretty much, unless you fire off this attacks in rapid succession, like I suppose you're meant to.

I'll say one thing for Kefka, though. His EX Mode is a monster. And I'm not referring to the fact that it's his One-Winged Angel.

Well, his EX mode is based on when he was pretty much god, so it'd make sense for it to be a monster.

Minor Update:
Okay, I've finished levelling everyone up, so I'm going to take a short break before attempting Shade Impulse 3. And it actually will be a short break this time. I just don't want Dissidia to wear too thin, especially after the frustration of levelling up Terra & Kefka.

Funny thing that these two are my two favorite characters... I guess we have different style.

I think that's mostly because Gar plays in a mostly conventional manner, and those two characters are not only magic/range based, but also fairly low-tier.

Hmm, I have to agree, I tend to take the air and dodge counter instead of blocking which is better with close combat specialist. That and having two heat seeking fireball around someone when releasing my wings always worked as a combo.
