Yup. Also, when you KO someone in Dissidia, there's a slow-motion shot of the enemy being hit, then a slow-motion shot of the winning character. When Firion KOs someone with Straightarrow, the slow-motion shot of him shows him slinging his bow back over his shoulder in a rather cool way. It's kinda like when you win a match in Metroid Prime: Hunters with the Imperialist.

It's good, it sounds like the title of a shounen anime episode.

Thanks. That's what I was going for. Of course, the only real experience I have of that (that I can remember) is One Piece. I even hear Luffy's voice saying it.

Yeah, One Piece follows that trope to a point I think.

Yup...
Bleach doesn't do it. Not in the actual episodes, anyway. They just have "Bleach" and whatever number the episode is.

They do have very stylized ways of writing Bleach *insert number here* though.

Dissidia from what I've seen is DBZ: Tenkaichi with FF characters and less cutscenes, but I'm probably going to main Emperor.

Having never played a DBZ game, I wouldn't know. But I was under the impression that you hated JRPGs. Or is that someone else?

Well no, but it's a fighting game based heavily on one of the most well-known JRPG series, and has a lot of RPG elements itself.

New entry: Monday 14th September
Destiny Odyssey VIII – The Lion Stalks The Savannah (Part 1) Well, I’ve now done two levels of Squall’s story, and I thought I may as well check in and post my findings so far. Granted, my PSP ran out of power just as I was starting level 3 and I’m waiting for it to charge up again, but that’s not important. So! Destiny Odyssey VIII… Well, it’s certainly a little weird to go from Firion, who was a mid-to-long-range fighter, to Squall whose attacks are almost entirely close-range. His levels also require a different strategy to Firion’s, as most of the battle pieces are hidden and only reveal themselves once you’ve defeated the original ones, so it’s more difficult to chain battles and save DP, even when you have a guide map like I do. Still, it hasn’t gone too badly so far. The only nasty bit so far was an aggressive Fallacious Wanderer enemy (Bartz copy) on level 2. You know the type, I’ve talked about it before. 1HP, spams a particular attack… The main difference this time was that, instead of being ridiculously good at dodging like the previous ones have been, this enemy had a stupidly high BP count: almost 2500 right from the start. Needless to say, he would easily be able to OHKO me, and he did a couple of times. Luckily, however, I was able to develop a strategy of sorts and take him out. I waited until he had just finished attacking, dashed close, slammed him into the ground with a Brave attack (Heel Crush), and hit him with an HP attack while he was recovering. I got a lot of EXP for my trouble. I still need quite a lot of practice with Squall, but I think I’m getting better.
So that’s all for now. I’m hoping to finish Squall’s story as soon as my PSP has finished charging, so I should have part 2 up later today.
Laters.
