He just wants you to think that he's Naive. He's that tricky.

Both possible theories...

Or maybe he's so cunning that he thinks he's naive enough to fake that he's not cunning. And stuff.

You met a Raikou already? Dayum...

Yeah, that kind of sucked. Though I didn't even know you COULD meet them that early in the game.

He's fair game any time after you chase the Beasts out of Burned Tower.

No, he and Entei start roaming right after Burned Tower. I'm not sure about Suicune, though. He seems to have vanished... Still, he and Eusine will probably turn up sooner or later.

And to anyone who knows what happens, don't spoil the game for me! >8U

*Nod* Alright. So many things I don't know about this game because I played it when I was too young to realize it...

Suicune used to roam in Gold and Silver as well, but that changed in Crystal.

HG/SS are less of a G/S remake and more of a remake of Crystal as everything from Crystal is here in HG/SS....

Eusine has an awesome theme.... The 8-bit one is better....

Monday 26th April

7:09pm
I've decided to try out the Pokeathlon. I'm attempting the Speed Course with Cheshire, Hatcher and Samba. Wish me luck...

7:20pm
Second place... Not bad for a first attempt with virtually no preparation.

7:34pm
Woot! I won it this time! By a fairly wide margin as well...

11:49pm
Well, I've only played three of the ten events, but I already like the Pokeathlon more than the Contests of previous games. For starters you can enter as many times as you like in a single day. I still have yet to venture outside the Speed Course, but I'm not going to rush things. Now, back to regular training...

BTW, I haven't just been doing the Pokeathlon all this time. I also had to clean out my gerbils, eat dinner and shower...

So how does the pokeathlon work? Do you have any influence, or is it something you get your pokemon to do, and then put your faith in the heart of the cards?

No, you control your pokemon in some way or another. Stats play a role too, but not much of it is down to luck.

It's not just selecting attacks like in Contests, either. The events are like proper minigames.

It is, rather. Mind you, as I said, I've only played three events.

It's all done with pretty quickly as well, making it rather easy to rack up points to buy stuff like Apricorns, Evolutionary Stones, Heart Scales, and even Rare Candies.
