Sunday 9th May

3:47pm
I just got back from a visit into town, where I had a rather profitable stroll on the Rugged Road route with Pell as I was walking around. I caught a Ponyta, whom I'll name later, and found a Star Piece and a Full Heal with the Dowsing Machine. I also unlocked the Suburban Area route, which I'll be trying out with Rosa in a little while when I walk my dogs. Since the number of steps taken seems to be carried over into new walks, provided they take place on the same day as each other, there's a slim chance I might be able to catch an Elekid. Wish me luck...

9:58pm
YES!! I finally caught an Elekid!

I got more than enough steps while walking my dog to "unlock" him, but I kept running into Rattatas and Murkrows instead due to Elekid's rarity, even if you have walked more than 5000 steps (3750 if you're using an advantageous type, as I was). I came across two Elekids with the watts I earned from the walk. The first one ran away, and the second one broke out of the Poke Ball and then ran away. So after I used up all those watts, I kept the Pokewalker on my belt while I was wandering around the house, using the Poke Radar whenever I got enough watts to use the Poke Radar. This continued for several hours until, finally, about 40 minutes ago (at the time of posting), I came across another Elekid. And this time, I managed to catch it. That's one less pokemon I have to get via the Pokewalker... The only other opportunity I'll have to get a member of the Electabuzz family in the game, other than trading, is near the Kanto Power Plant, and I'd prefer not to wait that long. And now I no longer have to...

Anyway, I've decided on names for the two pokemon I caught today. The Ponyta will be called Pyria, and the Elekid will be called Ferranti.

You did? Nice. For some reason, I've always like Electabuzz, and to some extent Elekid as well.

Yeah, they're okay. I quite like the parallels between them and the Magmar family. I like to think of them as rivals.

Wednesday 12th May

5:30pm
I was heading back to New Bark Town to withdraw my savings when I ran into Entei again. Not really much else to say...

5:36pm
Okay, that's my savings withdrawn. Now to replenish my supplies of Potions, Poke Balls and status-healers, and I'll be ready to head out on the next leg of my journey. Finally.

6:32pm
Okay, my supplies are replenished. Onwards to Olivine!

6:43pm
I just got Lass Dana's phone number. Apparently she'll give me Thunderstones if she finds them.

10:30pm
Literally just as I entered Route 39 I was accosted by a guy called Baoba. Apparently he's opening up a new Safari Zone and he gave me his phone number so he could let me know when it's ready.

10:33pm
Looks like all the Miltanks of Moomoo Farm have been brought in for the night. But what's this? One of them appears to be sick... Nothing some Oran berries won't cure, I'm sure.

10:37pm
There we go. Seven Oran berries and she's perfectly healthy again. I must say I greatly prefer using the Berry Pots to planting berries in random patches throughout the region. It's so much more convenient... Anyway, I got a Seal Case, some Seals and a TM83 Natural Gift for my trouble. I also baought some Moomoo Milk. Now, onwards to Olivine!

10:57pm
I just entered Olivine City and I got ambushed by Silver coming out of the Gym. I was really quite worried at first, being totally unprepared for a battle, but he just told me the Gym Leader wasn't in right now and was caring for a sick pokemon in the lighthouse, and barged past me spouting the usual rubbish about "weak" trainers, this time with added "weak/sick pokemon should just be allowed to die" thrown into the mix. Those weren't his exact words, but it was something similar. I'm starting to think maybe I should have given in to temptation and called him Douche after all...

11:06pm
I just got the Good Rod. I'm now totally prepared to catch even more water-dwelling pokemon.

11:13pm
I just beat a Beauty in the Pokemon Centre who wanted to show off her Poke Ball Seals. Hollis beat her Bellossom and evolved into a Noctowl.

11:24pm
Hollis looks pretty cool, flapping along behind me. My pokemon are starting to get noticeably bigger...

12:05am
Okay, that's all for today. I'm going to spend the rest of the night catching pokemon on Routes 38 and 39. I'll continue the story tomorrow when I climb the Lighthouse.

1:17am
I just caught a Meowth. I've called him Maneki.

1:30am
I just caught a Magnemite, which I've called Sturgeon. It put up a bit of a fight, too. No Metal Coat, though... Ah well...

1:34am
Bloody hell, I'm starting to wonder if Entei is stalking me...

1:52am
YES! After quite a lot of wandering around on Route 38, I finally encountered a Miltank. Finding it was the least of my problems, however. It was a **** to wear down, though, as the bloody thing kept lowering my attack, raising its defense, and using Milk Drink. Eventually I decided to stop bothering with False Swipe and just use a Great Ball after putting it to sleep. But I'm happy to say that the capture was a success. I've nicknamed her Mora, and she's apparently Brave and "Somewhat stubborn". How oddly appropriate... ¬_¬

Four. I'm about to head out towards Olivine City, then on to Cianwood, then back to Olivine.

Nope. These people barely ever phone about evolutionary stones.
