This is probably the totally wrong group of people to ask but whatever I'm shooting it out there.

Eureka Seven, if you don't mind the giant robot battles that are the other half of it.

I remember seeing previews for that.  Never actually watched it though.
Oh, mecha shows are alright with me.  Just so long as they don't go overload on the mechas or go into a huge amount of technical nonsense.

What's it about?

It's probably easier to read a wiki on it. It's a very complicated anime. Also, Saikano might do for you as well, if you don't mind depressing.

Eureka 7 had a bunch of mumbo jumbo that I never understood in the main storyline, but the romance is wonderful.

I would wiki it but for some reason everytime I wiki something I'm interested in I end up spoling myself.  Maybe I'll go to ANN or some site like that for a brief synopsis.  They tend to be good on not spoiling stuff.

Saikano?  Now I know I've heard the name of that before.  I forget if I've watched it, but the way you describe it makes it sound like if I had, I would remember it.

Good
Romance
Anime

Pick two.

Hmm...are you saying there's no such thing? >_>

Alright...I'll check it out.  I should just make a list for myself of what to watch.  I havn't seen any anime in oh so long of a time.

Try School Days if you're up for shallowness. >_>

I suggest you don't unless you want a horribly unsympathetic cast.

No.  Never again.  It was a "good" show, sort of. But those last few episodes....no...never again.  For multiple reasons, both personal and in the anime itself.

You know what I just realized?  I can barely remember any of the anime I've ever seen.  Just ones with...vivid imagery like School Days. >_>

Lawl. I absolutely hated School Days.

Try Valkyria Chronicles. I haven't watched the anime, but I heard it focuses more on romance than the game does. I'm not recommending it since I haven't actually watched it and I haven't really heard the greatest things about it, but whatever. >_>

Then I'll forget this one.
