I think it more set the bar for how awesome a totally psychotic anime with a messed up time-scale, geography, technology and culture can be.

TTGL's dub was perfectly fine. I would've watched it myself had the dub been finished at the time.

TTGL's dub was perfectly fine. I would've watched it myself had the dub been finished at the time.
I was bored and watched several episodes of the dub during the first time it was airing. It actually was very functional, and there certainly wasn't any quality lost. Then again, TTGL is basically the perfect recent anime for American audiences, so they'd have to try in order to make it bad. It's like random is trying to grasp over a subject that he knows jack **** about, which is mindnumbingly hilarious. |

Oh ok good. And I didn't watch Digimon, so I'm just going to react with shock and awe because I think that's what you're going for. SHOCK AND AWE TTGL's dub was perfectly fine. I would've watched it myself had the dub been finished at the time.
