I did this with my Star Mage. Instant ownage after that. Obtained a level 300 Statistician. Suddenly leveling is going much faster.
Get a level 2400 armmaster as well. It may take long as hell, but it'll save you loads of time getting your weapon mastery to the maximum (around just over 4 hours with an A or S rank), and you only gotta do it once since you can just pass it on to other members of your team anyway. |

If you're planning to fight Baal head-on, I recommend you max it out. I beat him with a uber-powerful Star Mage and Flonne doing the most damage (before I fully maxed theirs out, though it was already halfway there) and even then, the first time I beat him I got lucky because Baal for some reason was only going after my physical fighters while my two uber mages were doing close to 2 mil every turn.

Have you got the customer rank to 12 yet? Armmasters usually only come around 30-40 unsubued by that point, so it's still a long way to reach 2400.

My rogue became one of my best fighters, though that was only because I went to extreme lengths to level him above 3000 in order to steal Baal's weapon and armor from him.

Pretty sure Rogues are naturally the worst fighters due to their horrible aptitudes though. And if I'm going to steal from Baal I'm just going to capture a level 9999 monster and use that to do it.

Obtained Majin btw. Now to get it to Lvl 500 and transmigrate again olo.
Also started playing FFVIII again for some reason, so I'll probably play that until I either give up on it or finish it before really trying Disgaea again. The grinding has gotten to me.
