Any body else play the demo yet? It's pretty cool.

How do you get it? Preorder e-mail, Nintendo sent it to me.

Ah, did you pre-order it from the online Nintendo store?
EDIT: Nevermind. I just recieved one from Nintendo Life's giveaway. Only a couple of hours after entering, too, which was surprising.

I like the idea of randomizing it. I've not played through the exact same thing and I still haven't been to two places and I've played it about 20 times.

After playinng through the demo a few times, I like how they've subtly advanced a few things from X/Y (like the character expressions seem more varied and the walking animations seem smoother. Even using the D-pad isn't as obviously lockked into 8 directions as it was) and I like the new Fly animation, assuming that's carried over to the full game. However, and it's not that I dislike the player character's default appearance, but I hope that trainer customisation returns. Hopefully with the ability to give your character glasses this time, not just sunglasses on their hat. I kind of hope the rollerblades return too, but I could live without them.

I didn't like the rollerblades.... I know it's faster but sometimes I didn't want to go fast and I couldn't take them off so I couldn't use the slide pad. But the movement in this is much better and I'd prefer it to stay the same, if I want to go fast I'll get the bike.
The music is pretty awesome too, glad it's not like HG/SS where the remixes were a mess for the most part.
Also have you been everywhere yet? I've still not got the secret area yet but I've been to each island at least one and talked to all the possible NPCs.

Actually, now that I think about it, I think I mainly liked the rollerblades because it was the only smooth way of getting around (aside from the even faster bike). Walking/running in X/Y was very obviously confined to 8 directions which looked and felt a little awkward, but they seem to have smoothed it out in ORAS. I also like the addition of sneaking. I enjoy trying to sneak past trainers on the islands.
I've only played it three times so far and I've only been to two islands.

It took me twenty times to get to the forest island.... Seriously it's kinda addictive in a way....

Too bad Trainer Customisation is out. But hopefully stuff like the Battle Frontier will return to make up for X/Y's virtually non-existant post-game.
Also, new trailer! *squee*

Another thing I'm hoping for with these games is that there'll be more use of the in-game camera feature than in X/Y. Especially since, now that trainer customisation is out, there would only be so much you could do with a few fixed photo spots.
I'd at least like to be able to post screenshots to Miiverse, unlike X/Y. If I encounter/capture a shiny pokemon I want to show it off, dammit!
