Looked for a topic about this....didn't see it....so....


Haven't seen the movie, but I've read the first three books in the series. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The books are skewed towards a slightly younger audience than the stuff I normally read, but it was still a very enjoyable read. I picked the first book up expecting it to pretty much be like "Harry Potter, only with Greek Mythology", but it proved me wrong. I find the characters rather enjoyable, and I really like its unique take on Greek mythology, which I had always loved as a kid.

Too bad that, from what I read about it, the movie pretty much seems like its "Harry Potter, only with Greek Mythology."


Anyone else a fan of the series?
