An order not from me, as that would be worthless, but from the very depth of your consciousness. I am merely communicating the point that I'm sure is discreetly kept at the core of every sensible human being.

What is the premise of the show?

What is the premise of the show?
I'm lazy so I'll quote MAL. In Tokyo's downtown district of Ikebukuro, amidst many strange rumors and warnings of anonymous gangs and dangerous occupants, one urban legend stands out above the rest – the existence of a headless “Black Rider” who is said to be seen driving a jet-black motorcycle through the city streets.
Ryuugamine Mikado has always longed for the excitement of the city life, and an invitation from a childhood friend convinces him to move to Tokyo. Witnessing the Black Rider on his first day in the city, his wishes already seem to have been granted. But as supernatural events begin to occur, ordinary citizens like himself, along with Ikebukuro's most colorful inhabitants, are mixed up in the commotion breaking out in their city. That doesn't do it justice though. It's by the same studio as Baccano, and is an adaption of a light novel... That is written by the same person who wrote the light novel Baccano is adapted from. So. Also, opening, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PW3wlBHl1qk&feature=relatedIt's mirrored though, because youtube is run by dorks and openings can't be normally posted anymore.

Apparently they're changing the opening two weeks from now (no new episode next week). New characters and whatnot.

Yeah, which leaves me hesitant, because I love the current song.
I saw on OT a big tall picture of the new characters in the same poses as the characters are in for the ending. With Mikado at the top and Celty at the bottom being flipped, and it looks kinda weird because when you get to the bottom, Mikado looks all badass.

Yeah, I saw that too.
That kid who used pens to stab people was annoying. I'm glad he isn't in it.

I haven't seen Baccano, so that doesn't give me a lot of perspective. I might look into it down the line though. Probably won't watch it while it's airing anyway.

He was a doofus. The only good thing that came from his existence were the subsequent Shizuo responses (or lack thereof) to his pen stabs. And Izaya trolling the hell out of him in episode 12.

Now that is amazing.
But I feel bad because some of those characters have only been in the manga so far and I don't know who they are...
