Oh and Black Lagoon solely so I can pre-empt Spring >_>

*moves pawn with the letters "DB" etched into it across chessboard; willem dafoe*

I GUESS I'M THE ONLY ONE HERE THAT PREFERS THE COWBOY BEBOP SUB OLO

*ASKING FOR IT*

Teh Japanese dub was essentially as good as the english one.

lol

Alright, I just took down a lot of notes from the responses here; added Baccano, The Big O, Black Lagoon (did before checking back actually, lol), and One Piece. I think I will start with Gurren Lagaan first, then try to work my way down rest of the list by order of the amount of episodes from least amount to the most amount on the list, unless I change my mind along the way.

As for the thing about dubs, I think the reason he gave for hating them was that some things can get lost in translation, or that the original versions are the best. My memory's a little cloudy...

[Shrugs] Personally, I think some dubs can be good, so I'll still check at least some of them out. It's kind of hard for me to imagine watching Trigun, Big O, and Cowboy Bebop subbed, but that's probably because I've seen many episodes from the dubs on [adult swim] already. >>

I liked that they changed a line in the ending slightly for the dub.

Unless the subs just got it wrong and it was the same.

On Anime, no less.

1)   Naruto
2)   Bleach
3)   Death Note
4)   Yakitate Japan!
5)   Trigun
6)   Cowboy Bebop
7)   Gurren Lagaan
8)   Rurouni Kenshin
9)   Hellsing
10)   Gungrave
11)   Samurai Champloo
12)   Full Metal Alchemist
13)   Hajime no Ippo
14)   Berserk
15)   Chobits
16)   Outlaw Star

I was somewhat surprised that even HE likes Gurren Lagaan the most. >_>

I'm a little hesitant to watch Bleach, considering all the complaints I heard about it's pacing and what not.

Don't know where to start with the list, but my brother left me with this one piece of advice: ALWAYS WATCH ANIME IN JAPANESE. He doesn't believe in a "good dub".

most of those are boring...

I'm pretty sure that any of us would watch any of those over Monster any day.

Except for ESH.

but monster is better than all of those...
also, mark'd what was boring and what wasn't.
So, actually half of them are boring, I guess.  I exaggerated because I saw those shonen anime.
