Man when I picked up WIXOSS I was expecting a fun show about a girls' card game.... What I got was very little card games and instead was incest, death, a fate worse than death, a girl who pretty much a homicidal manic, a protagonist who is struggling to come to terms with the fact she enjoys destroying peoples lives and suffering all around. It's actually really good too, I don't understand how the card game works but they hardly show them and focus on the characters. This is seriously one of the top shows this season, I really want to know what happens next.

Yeah that's kinda true but instead of trying to have that weird economy based story it focus on the girls wishes and how to destroy them. So is it like Yu-Gi-Oh or something?
Nope, not at all.... They don't really show the card battles or explain how they work or show any cards, It's all about the characters. In short being a Selector is suffering. |

Oh man, LRIGs are Selectors. The suffering continues....
So if you lose three times you have your wish reversed but it you win enough to get your wish your LRIG gets your body and you become a LRIG and have to trick some other poor girl into trading places. And now Yuzuki is now Hitoe's new LRIG, Hitoe has suffered enough don't do this to her now....

If Kyubey were involved there'd probably be less suffering because at least he gave the girls their wishes rather than taking their bodies and living out their wishes himself.
The thing is this is supposed to encourage girls to play this card game in real life. I swear most of the anime made to basically advertise an unreleased game turn out really good. Ixion Saga DT was one of those too....

Nope this one is from Mari Okada.
This is one of those shows I didn't plan on watching so I didn't look up the staff and ended up being surprised how good this was and how dark it got. Not like Madoka where I knew Urobuchi was just waiting to pull something, I actually though I was going to have fun girl card games.

I didn't care at all for Madoka until the many spoilers I was hearing when hanging around the discussion threads after ep 3, nor did I know who the hell Uro was at the time. Finally decided to start watching the show just after episode 10 had come out, also knew about Homura's deal by the time I started.

So I finally got round to starting Kill la Kill a while ago, was putting it off to finish a few older anime I may forget about at some point. I'm up to episode 7 at the moment, really enjoying it so far. I also already know about the few major spoilers like MC not being fully human, her & Satsuki being sisters, the elite four becoming part of Nudist Beach and maybe another detail or two I'm forgetting. I don't know much else besides that though. Oh, really liking Aikuro's unnecessary need to strip & strike poses too.
