*Another one of the mages stands up*

Mage 2: Enough of this, we must complete the Rite. Dispose of them.

*A hole opens beneath the three and begins sucking them in*

Sheena: *Looks around* Ah... *Puts on her knucklebusters, and locates her necklace* Phew... it's still here... *Puts it on*

Cara: No doughn- H-He-*is sucked in*

Nara: *Follows her in*

*Drake finds Rief's prosthetic arm and eye and reattaches them, along with his other weapons before pulling a healing potion from his belt and putting them over his wounds*

Drake: It'll be awhile until he regains consciousness, so I don't think we'll get any answers out of him for now- and who the hell confiscated the mech?

*Drake points at a large mech that fills a quarter of the room sitting in the corner*

*A group of guards appears at the door*

Drake: Whoever wants it take it!

*Drake charges into the guards and back into the hallway. The group can either go back the way they came, or move on into what looks like a transport hub*

@ Cara, Nara & Tobi:

*They find themselves in what appears to be an abstract plane of existence, with non-euclidean architecture abound*

*The path ahead winds at impossible angles, leading into what appears to be oblivion*

@ Nik @ David:

*Nik successfully secures the data for the network. The data tells him that the scientific facility is being used as a power source to amplify The Korey's strength. It also tells of a number of other projects being used to amplify The Korey's powers being put into place all over the city*

@ Michal:

*Michal senses a number of presences around her, but she is unable to tell if they are animals, civilians, or something worse*

*A man separates himself from the shadows, coming to greet her*

.........ah, was there a password? I....don't think he told me a password. *sweatdrops* I was sent here by a Strangah for information about....some guy name Korey? I'm trustworthy! Please believe me! *is smiling and holding her hands up, trying her best to look non-threatening* My name is Michal Ritter, and I'm chaotic good aligned, so you can trust me!



Bob: Eh? *grins and chuckles* Ah, no, never mind, Joe. Someone else seems to have stumbled upon something that gives me an idea of what that device was. *turns to ILS* ILS, get ready to leave, we're going to try and get to the bottom of this. *turns to Joe* If you don't mind, I would like to use my hotel room here as a base of operations. I don't have any Korey Dollars, but...*snaps his fingers and a sack of gold appears by Joe* I have gold. I'd like to reserve my room for an indefinite amount of time. Is that ok?

*His attempts at teleporting give him a stiff headache. It seems he can teleport within the plane though*

The Contact: *Grins* That's good enough for me. Here's the information the Stranger asked for. Lost a couple men getting it, no big.

*He hands Michal a manila envelope*

Bob: *chuckles* What can I say, Gaffit? When one is tossed into an unknown situation, it's only natural to grasp at every advantage one can get. I don't call myself the Omnipotent lightly.

*looks at Joe again* Thanks. I appreciate this. Oh, and if you ever get into any trouble, just shout for me and I'll read the post and come as fast as I can. It would be rude of me not to extend my protection to my host.


Tobi: ....that didn't work. *walks off in a random direction*



Ah! A mystery envelope! Thanks! *places it into her bag on her back* As a delivery person, it's my sword duty not to look at my client's package.

....this Korey guy....is he like, some kind of tyrant or something? I mean....I'm just getting this vibe.

*Sits on the desk as a doll*

*Tobi promptly falls into a crack that he could've sworn couldn't exist a second. The landscape appears to be tricky*

@ Michal:

The contact: Why no, the Korey is a God, he created us all and we all worship him as he deserves. And so will you!

*In a move that surprises not a single goddamn one of us, the area is suddenly flooded with soldiers out to arrest Michal*

Tobi: BLARGAHFLAB! ....Tobi is in a hole. *tries to phase out of the hole*



Sorry, but the only god for me is Thor, God of Thunder. *reaches into the front of her shirt, and pulls up a amulet shaped like a stylized version of Mjolnir* He might get angry if I jump ship and start worshiping another god, so I think I'll decline. *she blurs for a moment, then she's suddenly behind the contact* Thanks anyways. At least these goons of yours will keep me entertained for a while. *her body begins to cackle with electricity, which she then releases as a powerful shockwave spreading out from her in all directions*

@ Tobi:

*Tobi suffers what appears to be an out of body experience, when in reality he is simply temporarily inside out before reverting to normal*

@ Michal:

*Most of the guards are blasted away, but the ones farther from her are protected by their equipment and begin firing tranq rounds*

*The contact is well done however*

Hah! *raises the disc she rode on as a shield, blocking the tranqs* You'll have to try harder than that! *using Flash Steps, she appears right in front of one of the guards, grabbing him and tossing him into one of his friends, and then, to keep her momentum going, she spins around and punches another in the face with enough strength to send him flying 5 feet away from her, trying to knock him into another guard*
