More like so awesome it's funny.
I played it because:
A. It's an Alicesoft game, and I like their games and artwork.
B. I like the WWII parody stuff. I like Japan's ridiculous stereotyping of other countries in general, it's one of the reasons I love G Gundam.
C. The gameplay is functionally similar to Sengoku Rance.
I've got plenty of experience with playing games in Japanese, so it isn't any trouble to figure them out. If you can read katakana then you can find your way around most of an interface. I can't read the story, but I had enough reason to play it anyways, and it was pretty sweet.

Oh yeah, I'm watching School Rumble right now. I was looking for something like GTO and it's about as close as anything I can find, although its more like Azumanga Daioh than anything. Enjoying it though, I like the characters more than the ones in Azumanga Daioh, and Tenma is basically a more energetic Osaka. Also watching Harima get infinitely cockblocked gets pretty ridiculous at a lot of points.

I watched five episodes of it. I chuckled once or twice, but decided that I didn't care about enough to watch 26 episodes of it.

I've been putting it on in the background while I do other stuff, so I watched the whole first season in 2 days and I'll probably get through the second season by tomorrow. It's easy to watch without paying much attention, which is what I was looking for. I'm watching the dub, which is pretty good and not in an ironic sort of way.
