18. The Diarist - Dark Lunacy

Oh boy, it's Dark Lunacy.

So, I'm listening to Weaver of Forgotten for the first time right now. It's not as big of a disappointment as Mercenary's Metalcorephosis, and I'm getting some amount of enjoyment out of it, but how do you go from The Diarist to this? I guess that's what happens when every band member from your previous set-up leaves the band. I guess that it's not as big of a blemish on their career as the one on Mercenary, but I still have the right to question this band's future. But still, it's not too bad; I wonder why every Dark Lunacy fan is bashing this album when every Mercenary fan is praising their latest dropping, but I assume that it has something to do with it being impossible to be a philistine if you like Dark Lunacy.

Oh wait, this is about The Diarist. Well, all I need to say is that it's Dark Lunacy. The descriptions that are necessary involve why this is so low, which is the fault of less memorable tracks than normal and some of the worst transitions that Dark Lunacy has ever made. Of course, that says little, except in relation to this album's title track, a transitional song that is aggressively awful.
