I SERIOUSLY DREAMT OF FLOYD BEING A KILLER CYBORG WHO RAN 10 TIMES FASTER THAN ANY NORMAL HUMAN, AND THEN KILLED MM, TURNED FEMALE, WENT AFTER ME, AND I DROPPED FROM THE SKYSCRAPER! IT HURTED, BUT I AWAKE CALMLY, THINKING I WOULDN'T SEE YOU AGAIN.

This is a possible transcript of Monolith's board meeting when they came up with this game:
Guy 1: Okay guys, multiplayer is all the rage, lets make a multiplayer only game.
Guy 2: Cool, what should we do?
Guy 3: Well, an FPS, of course. We're good at making those games, plus they fit the multiplayer part perfectly.
Guy 2: Well, of course. Hmm... How about something like TF2? That's a multiplayer only game, and it's quite fun.
Guy 3: Sure, sounds like a good idea. But how can we improve on TF2? What could possibly be done to it?
Guy 1: Guys, guys guys!
Guy 2 & 3: What?
Guy 1: ......Batman.
And thus the game concept was made, and behold, it was good.
