To be honest children watching anime on Toonami never really shaped them into anime fans.... Sure I watched it but due to it I was hesitant on watching anime again.... And many people I know watched it but never anything more.... Most seem to brand all anime as the same stuff and because it was shown to them as a child have labelled anime as a child only thing....
Maybe we'd be better off without the whole idea of anime being targeted towards younger generations.... If they browse the internet long enough I'm sure they'll come into anime with the same love.... Just less outsiders will see it as a childish thing and maybe not be turned away....
