Also, I've just remembered, how come people are up in arms over Derpy and yet apparently no-one batted an eyelid at this bit?

I dunno, Winter Wrap Up is pretty long as well. The Flim Flam Brothers song is almost 4 minutes IIRC, but then again it does mix speaking with singing, so I don't know if it counts.
And no idea. People can be dumb sometimes...

Two crazy episodes in one season? Twilight's just set a record.
Also, Metal Gear Pony.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one who got a Metal Gear Solid vibe from that. X3
There was evidently a Dr. Who reference as well, but I am not cool enough to have gotten it. Some of the music, I think.
Speaking of music, in the episode before this, that Incredible Hulk reference was just awesome! X3

But... if our leaders actually reflected the wants of the people... then we'd be a democracy, and that's just gross.
Stalin was that **** guy who pops the ball during a basketball game and ruins it for everyone.

Then I'm not cool enough either. And what Hulk reference? Bleah. I understand their arguments about Starscream, but I still don't like that Rainbow Dash won.

The sad walking away music! I mean, it was not the same song, obviously, but it was obviously an intentional reference. X3 I will see if I can find some videos.
Speaking of videos... wah. ;_;
