Ah. That one wasn't available when I checked so, I looked at Mangafox instead. Nevermind.
I thought it was a weird decision...

Ugh, another God Slayer? Ever since that style was introduced, I've never liked it. It's just a cheap way of making an opponent a Dragon Slayer shouldn't stand a chance against, thus making a victory from said Dragon Slayer seem cheap as well. God Slayer magic can literally just be described as "exactly like Dragon Slayer mgic, but better!". And I bet, judging from his reaction and own "black" element, that Orga's the Lightning God Slayer. ¬_¬
Also is it me, or do recent translations of this, Bleach, One Piece and Naruto have way more pre-chaper illustrations than they used to? This week's chapter didn't start until page eight...

Those aren't pre-chapter illustrations. They're included by the scanlators, so far as I know. Also, yes. God Slayers are uninspired and just feel a little like "Nyah nyah, I've got better powers!"

That's what I mean. My point is that there used to just be a couple per chapter.
Natsu has a history of pulling victories seemingly out of nowhere, but his defeat of Zancrow by "nullifying his own magic" (whatever that's supposed to mean) was probably the only one that's made me think "okay, this is a bit stupid". Next chapter will probably have Wendy either being further pwned and defeated after only just recovering from Raven Tail's actions, or pulling a similar victory out of her ass. Neither really appeals to me.
Also, isn't Dragon Slayer a Lost Magic as well? That just makes God Slayer even more pointless. Literally the only reason it exists is to subject Dragon Slayers to The Worf Effect.

I'm a good deal happier with that fight's conclusion than I thought I'd be. Wendy's a bigger person than I am, though. No way could I be friends with Chelia if I was in her position. Well, Jellal, this was a bit of a stupid idea...

I just use whatever's being used in the manga right now. Or whatever it's confirmed to be in the anime dub.

How much longer until the members of Sabertooth recieve a beatdown like Raven Tail got? Too long. Mashima's really going out of his way to point out what cruel, arrogant scumbags they are. Still, at least the two Fairy Tails still take 2nd and 3rd place, that's something.
Poor Quattro Puppy, though...

Actually, Lucy took last place. The five-minute rule is kind of...interesting.

Actually, Lucy took last place. The five-minute rule is kind of...interesting. I thought she got second. She would only get last place if she got knocked out within five minutes of whoever got third place was knocked out. But the Sabertooth chick was too busy thrashing Lucy, so she made second place after the five minutes were up.

I dunno. They never actually said that the five minutes were up, so I'm betting she kicked her out at the last second.

*re-reads five-minute rule* So wait, you manage to be one of the final two standing, but if you're knocked out after this point you're automatically in last place? That's... really stupid.
Did they force the match to end before or after Minerva held Lucy outside the water?

Actually, it adds an element of strategy...but yeah...I dunno.

It just doesn't make sense to me. Being knocked out first is better than being knocked out last?

Only in those five minutes...but yeah, the goal is one of three things.
Get first place (duh) Survive five minutes and get second Get kicked out third, and have a safe score.
