Pretty much. Instead of getting up on a stage and talking to everyone, Nintendo is just going to 8eam their announcements directly to us. They'll still have 8ooths and what not at E3, and playa8le demos from the sounds of it. Just not the usually press show.
Even more awesome is that we're technically getting this Nintendo Direct 8efore E3. Now, 8efore E3 could mean the day 8efore, or it could mean the week 8efore........8ut it still feels like it's Christmas Eve, and Santa 8rought us our presents early, while Sony and Microsoft fans still have to wait for Christmas day.

Goku may be in it (due to namco bandai)
Little Mac, Takamaru, Tom Nook, Palutena, Dark Pit, and Bayonetta might be in
again, only rumors

Don't get me wrong. I like Goku. Dragon8all/Dragon8all Z is awesome.
8ut Smash 8ros. should 8e for video game characters. Mostly Nintendo characters, 8ut a few third party guys are alright. I won't mind two or may8e three Namco 8andai characters, 8ut I really hope this doesn't turn into anything like "Nintendo vs Namco" or "Let's toss in these anime characters just 8ecause Namco has the rights!"

I could believe Bayonetta, given that Nintendo basically saved the sequel. And I concur about Goku not being in. Hell, I'd object to any anime/manga character being in.
