Yeah, that can happen.
I find it helps to have a good internet connection, but basically nothing's gonna stop the lag from finding you.

Well, I managed to get a bunch of good, lagless games. Not sure if turning off my laptop's Wi-Fi had anything to do with it.
Humans are much more entertaining to fight than AI opponents.
