Maybe tapping the tablet and swapping for different ones? That doesn't sound practical though, especially if not using the tablet.
Button combos has to be the way.

From what I can tell, some of the shown moves were normals, some were smashes, and a couple were specials.
Metal Blade is a special, Flame Blast is a smash, Slash Claw is an aerial. My bet is that Top Spin and Leaf Shield are also specials, Hard Knuckle is an aerial, and the electric one is a smash too.
