Agreed. The hype machine that was the Dojo was more fun than the actual game.

I wonder if Meta Knight will get cut...
This is something I've been worried about as well. I'm hoping not, but I have a feeling that if he's in he'll be nerfed in some way.

Which makes me question how you would even nerf him?
Make his hits hurt less? Why, he barely had any kick at all. His power was all in the speed.
Make him slower? Then he's not even Meta Knight anymore. The speed is as much a part of his character as the mask.
Make him more of a lightweight? He was already one of the lightest characters in the last game.

The only thing I can think is that they would somehow make it more difficult for him to chain moves together, but again, I think you're infringing on speed and character when you do that.

It almost begs the question do they care if he was banned? And if so, would they try to make it so he won't be in the new game? Omit him altogether? Or just leave him as is?


I always thought he was a beatable character, but that's just because I couldn't seem to beat anyone. :u
Not online anyway. With IRL friends I never played as him because it was too boring. :/

His power was actually all in his recovery and ability to gimp. They could always nerf that.

Honestly, MK's strength is his ability to recover from anywhere, his unique priority (which, btw, he was the only character in brawl to posses the collision type that ignored other collisions), low knockback attack, powerful smash attacks, abusable moves that are nearly impossible to punish if the person plays right, negligible weight issues with proper DI, and array of frame-one attacks. There's a reason that even the competitive scene banned him and that even casual players dislike using/fighting him.

Oh, and infinite cape glitch/planking.
