What's this! Some actual news!!!!!!!!
So, Pikmin & Olimar. I wonder if this means they cracked the whole "multiple fighters causing pro8lems" issue, or if Olimar works differently for that since the Pikmin are more "weapons" or "items" than "multiple fighters".
Also, I notice that in the screen shots, he's using White and Purple Pikmin, 8ut not Pink or Rock Pikmin.

What would Flying and Rock Pikmin do in the context of Smash Bros, though? Purples already do anything Rocks probably could in this game and I've no idea what Flying would bring to the Smash Bros table. Plus, one could argue that the Flying and Rock types weren't discovered or used by Olimar, but the three new captains instead. |

Rock Pikmin are awesome though and deserve to be in on that point. Just make them full on melee weapons. Less range than purple Pikmin but way more knockback and power when used via smash. Hell, make them do the exact same thing as purple Pikmin. I just want Rock Pikmin.

Yeah, that's definitely from Uprising. In fact, when I look at it, it almost looks like the stage where you first encounter Viridi and the Reset 8om8. Hmmmmmmmm........that could make for an interesting stage.
Apparently Viridi's been mentioned by Sakurai in relation to that stage on Miiverse, so yeah it's probably from that part of the game. |
