I find myself randomly quoting Bane.
So much.
Not quite Bane, but my favorite quote has to be, "Very well, I sentence you to DEATH! ... By exile."

It's funny watching Inception after this movie, watching Blake team up with Bane to beat Scarecrow.

I was really pleased with the Cillian Murphey cameo.

I've never not enjoyed him being in a movie. Though admittedly I've only seen him in 3, he always kicks ass in them.

It was a little bit obvious that he showed up but Joker didn't, but I certainly respect that they left Mr. J out.

Well, I went and saw it. Yeah, I understood Bane's voice most of the time, and Bat-voice was as lol as always.

Honestly though, I think the thing that hurt the movie most was the prison sequence. Every time I looked at that thing the voice in my head was going "I've seen freeclimbers climb up inverted surfaces. Anybody who can make basic rockclimbing equipment should have no trouble getting out of this place." And that kinda killed my immersion for the rest of the movie.

I thought that was kind of off too. It's like, no one ever thought to train in jumping before? Maybe do a couple practice jumps on level ground?

I actually had a more fundamental beef with those scenes. Namely, there should be no need to jump. The architecture of the well remains the same all the way up, with cracks for handholds and ledges of stone going all the way up to the edge. Hell, even if you needed to get to the broken ledge, you can just pull a classic platformer and climb sideways.

Yes. Oh, most of the rest of the movie was good, but the prison sequence kind of permanently broke my suspension of disbelief, and I never got it back for any of the idiocy of the rest of the movie.

I may have to watch Batman Begins again, but wasn't a major reason why Gotham is such an epic craphole because the League of Shadows already tried to destroy it by messing with its economy?

So, basically they turned a mess into an even bigger mess, then blamed the people?

I think the point was "We were going to destroy Gotham, but those pesky philanthropists (read: Waynes) interfered! So we had them killed. But Gotham did not die, and instead grew worse! We have come to finish the job!"

Ah. So once the League decides a city has to go, that's that. No matter how much it might be improving.
