Thoroughly depressing, but a rewarding cinematic experience...
I take much less issue with Russell Crowe's performance than a lot of people seem to be. Obviously he was weaker than other actors, but it was as terrible as the reviews led me to believe.
Hathaway was fantastic, as were Jackman, Redmayne, and Banks. I actually was surprised by Seyfried, and found Cohen/Carter to be used quite effectively for comedic relief, which was much needed and appreciated.
