I enjoy both of them nowadays, but I've been a Star Wars fan longer.

Never watched a single piece of Star Trek media in my life, no lie.

Star Wars also has Boba Fett.

I actually prefer Star Trek, because of the heavier emphasis on sci-fi rather than space fantasy, although I do love the original trilogy.  The awful prequels also factored in.

Also, the movies for TOS are hilarious..."HELLO COMPUTER"

I've never actually watched Star Trek, although I've 8een meaning to. I am, however, a massive fan of William Shatner and George Takai.

8ut........Star Wars was a 8IIIIIIIIG part of my childhood, and I just love the franchise soooooooo much. So Star Wars gets my vote.

Star Trek, easily. The theme of discovery-type adventure is more compelling than the action/adventure of Star Wars which is more susceptible to feeling dated. And the prequel movies were too bad.

Hooray, I'm no longer alone in my vote!

Which series do you prefer?  I'm partial to Voyager, myself...been re-watching on Netflix, lately

The Next Generation, then Deep Space Nine, even though I haven't seen most of it. The "Darmok" episode in TNG was amazing and makes me fight back manly tears to this day.
