"An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games – After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.

Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today – There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360."

Sounds like good news to me

It was only a matter of time really, that DRM was going to kill the Xbone.

Still won't get one.... I didn't really enjoy any of the 360 exclusives and I can't put faith into a company that had to do a U-turn because they don't understand their main demographic at all. Not to mention I don't like FPSs and Sports games.

It's funny, everyone says they follow Sony, but forget that Nintendo was here first

It's a good step, but I doubt it's going to win them the war.

They should have known how ridiculous their policies were to begin with. This is even worse than keeping it and being confident about it. They need to just surrender and let Sony and, to an extent, Nintendo have this one. "Our marketing was a fail! Quick, let's do a U turn on our BRIGHT IDEA and try to minimize our losses! We'll teach Sony about making a mockery of us!! Customer trust? What does that foreign term mean?"

That green is a helluva drug.
