This game is never getting out of Japan.
Even if it did the Localisation team will probably have a meltdown and it'd take forever to do.
Though it's a really nice period to set it in, I can see this having some nice story themes due to the Meiji Restoration. I'm guessing most of the fanbase will have no idea of just what the Meiji period was and most of the story would fly over their heads. That combined with all the historic references that will probably be in the game should scare off the chance of it being brought over here.
I mean they could leave the setting, names, references the same but that'd scare away a lot of people because it'll be too Japanese.

Sounds like Namco Bandai at the moment.

Guess that means I'll have to wait even longer to see post-timeskip Maya, Gumshoe and Franziska, though.
You mean, we won't have Maya helping in a present case by summoning Phoenix's ancestor?

Even though it'll never happen, I'd still love for a localization that tries to bullshit this into being in-the-past Los Angeles.
It would be the greatest.

Actually, maybe it's not Ace Attorney 6. http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/57685/the-great-ace-attorney-is-start-of-a-new-series/"While it's not a main-numbered Ace Attorney title, it's the start of a new series called The Great Ace Attorney. I believe that it's becoming something that can show that it's not simply just a derivative title. We can't say too much about it for the time being, but we'll be revealing more on the characters and their backgrounds next time, which we hope you all can look forward to."

I doubt there'll be another title with Apollo as the focus. Future games involving him will probably just be split between him, Phoenix and Athena, like in Dual Destinies.
