Indie Developer Zoe Quinn has been accused of sleeping around with some big name people (particularly from Kotaku, her ex-boyfriend has chat logs to prove it) and using those connections to gain favorable reviews of her game, Depression Quest. In addition, she has been accused of bullying at least one video off youtube through a potentially illegitimate copyright claim and using connections with various groups to delete any other negative publicity on forums and such, including even 4chan and reddit.
Totalbiscuit probably has the most levelheaded assessment of the issue:
http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1s4nmr1/?What do you all think? Is this a problem with just one developer? Or is it a failing of the Gaming Journalism industry in general? From what I've been reading around today, seems like this is just one more incident in a pretty messed up industry.
also, should this be in heavy stuff?
