i pre-ordered it on the eshop so I've taken a bite of it. playing hard mode of course, made it to the first proper boss of the game and he mulched my entire party in a single attack so I'm grinding again. feels like home

Yeah its tough, I'm on Normal but so far every major boss and several quest bosses have smoked me out on the first try. I'm still getting used to the affinity from essences system in place of Magatama or armor dictating weaknesses.

it only took half of my chakra drops and 20 minutes though

that one killed all my demons by one shotting them and then killed me lmao I finally hit the point where I'm not dying on every boss on the first one and the curve seems to have evened out but now the enemies are getting more maneuverability and are catching me while I'm trying to explore. Fu cking Anzus are driving me nuts. i also am finally strong enough to go back to the first area and kill the ouyamatsumi, catharsis |

that guy's attack is so dumb that with his attack fully reduced and my defense fully increased, he still one-shots any of my party members except for my main character. i spammed revival beads and quickly brought my demons back out though because I needed their buffs/debuffs i have discovered that I don't want to play this game between work days so I'm now waiting for my next weekend to play more and then next week endwalker early access happens I think so I'll shelf this game when that happens. whoops |
