There's no way I'm gonna finish all the end game stuff in FFXV before Tuesday, so whoops. Probably do whatever I can tomorrow night and then get back to it at some point in the future.

Have you done the Pitioss Dungeon yet? Cause... damn that dungeon... I never got around to it, no. I heard it's simultaneously amazing and awful, but also that I needed a couple of hours of uninterrupted time to complete it (because they thought it would be a good idea to not let you save in dungeons), and I haven't set aside that time. I still want to do it at some point. Haven't looked up anything beyond how to get to it.

People are liking that there zaldo game
For my part, I picked up Horizon on Tuesday. I'm enjoying it, and it's got that "hard to stop playing" feel of open world games when I sit down with it, but it's so far not monopolizing my thought processes during the day. Instead I'm still kinda thinking about Overwatch, even though it's apparently in a rough state after the new Omnic Crisis update. I want to do my placements for season 4, though, and I might sit down and do that tonight.

i hope the new robot character can throw cars like the intro video makes me believe
I haven't played since the Christmas stuff, hoping the new characters is neat though so I have an excuse to hop back in at some point.

Floyd is the devil.
I SERIOUSLY DREAMT OF FLOYD BEING A KILLER CYBORG WHO RAN 10 TIMES FASTER THAN ANY NORMAL HUMAN, AND THEN KILLED MM, TURNED FEMALE, WENT AFTER ME, AND I DROPPED FROM THE SKYSCRAPER! IT HURTED, BUT I AWAKE CALMLY, THINKING I WOULDN'T SEE YOU AGAIN.
*no gold, just us*

no she doesn't, but she does look cool
I'll probably mess around with her (whenever the fervor dies down and she becomes available to even play).

Looking forward to the new hero.
With that being said, how have your episodes of The Adventures of Bastion been?

Not too bad honestly.
I did my season 4 placements last night. A friend and I have decided to do something of a social experiment. We did our placements solo and we stuck with one character. I played Zarya, went 4-6, and got placed in platinum at 2804, which seems about right considering I hadn't played competitive since like December. It feels pretty good to get that kind of placing while mainlining a tank, too. I had gold or silver elims in most of the games I played (which might explain some of those losses, honestly), and I averaged 3.7 medals.
By comparison, my buddy played all Mercy, went 8-2, and got placed 3200 something (he's more of a natural).
There was a Bastion in most of the games I played, I would say, but it wasn't like he really took over in any of them. It was just like he was there as a normal character that people pick in normal circumstances. That's what it felt like anyway. I don't mind having him around as it's free energy for Zarya, even if it can be easy to fly too close to the sun.
I'll need to do placements on PC at some point too, so I'll see if anything's different on there.
Have you played any since the patch?

Horizon is one of those games where I spend a lot of time getting very little done. But the end results are usually worth it. https://twitter.com/subjunctivitis/status/838949539339988992In other news, I got back to Diamond last night, and this time I did it without the help of angry teenagers. Felt really good. I had a Zarya game on King's Row where I had 62 elims and 58% kill participation. Next I'll see if I can beat my career high (3144, I think).

Trying to capture some more video these days.
Here's a defensive hold on King's Row from a few days ago:
And here's a nice POTG from back in November probably:

Uploaded two more matches from the weekend.
It's neat actually messing around with videos and stuff. Bit time consuming, though, so I probably won't do this many in one weekend in the future.

I'll have to watch those later.
But you and I had similar placements. I played Ana and Zen most of the time and ended up getting 4 wins, 1 draw and 5 losses. Got 2764. :/
Ridiculous how your friend got placed at 3200 playing Mercy of all things. That's actually insane.
