Gears of War over Mario?
My god.
Also, Miyamoto's death would be an omen that would say "The world is ending."

how? I mean come on, in about two years Mario will have no more material left in it.
Guys, I don't want you to get mad at me, i just wanna here your opinions.
How will it not have any material? They have a solid plan. They only release one or two major Mario platformers on each console. For the N64, it was Mario 64, for the Gamecube, it was Sunshine, for the DS, it was NSMB, and for the Wii, it'll be Galaxy, and they sprinkle Mario sports titles all throughout the lifespan of consoles to help fund the big platformers. This generation, even the SPORTS games will add something new though, what with the Wii Remote controls and whatnot. okay, got me there. Still though, how many new "ideas" can you think they will bring with Mario? plently. Mario can be put in with anything. They could easily make hundreds of more Mario games. Gears of War over Mario?
My god.

Still though, how many new "ideas" can you think they will bring with Mario? They've only really used one as the main focus for a game, water, and they're about to use another one, space. There are a lot of ideas they could do, or they could do what Super Mario 64 did and just make a bunch of stages with no relation to each other, and a hub level to get to all of them.

Not to mention Mario & Sonic could become a full-blown spin-off series if the Olympic one works well, so that's even more stuff for Mario.

okay this is getting ugly. Time to pull out the speech.
In about two more years, people will get sick of damn Mario. Mario being popular, and Mario is the hero of everything. Well, everyone has to retire someday and Mario's end is coming. Who will Nintendo have to ride on? Link? Samus? Pokemon? They still got the DS, but just wait. You're gonna say, damn, Masterman was right all along. I ain't just no spammer. I gotz brains too.

Ha, no.
Why would people get tired of Mario in two years? He's been the most popular icon in gaming for over 20 years, and is just as popular as ever. He's shown no signs of decline, and his games are always good.
