1) Super Mario 2) Pokemon 3) The Legend of Zelda 4) Donkey Kong
Where do Metroid, Kirby, and Star Fox fit?

Kirby is 5th, methinks.
Animal Crossing and Pikmin haven't been around long enough to compare...
What about F-Zero?

Kirby is actually my favorite nintendo character, the little guy ranks first for me.
Second goes to Mario, I love his games so,
Third goes to Metroid
Fourth the Legend of Zelda, I haven't played many of them, but the ones I have are awesome.
Fifth goes to Donkey Kong, I've got some good childhood memories of those games
Sixth goes to Starfox, the first two were epic, the recent ones are fail.

This is about the games' popularity, not your opinions of them. 1. Mario 2. Pokemon 3. Legend of Zelda 4/5. Metroid or Kirby 6. Donkey Kong 7. Star Fox 8. F-Zero I think that's about right.

Nah, DK is fourth.
Yeah, 5-10 years ago maybe. It's really dropped in popularity. <_<

More popular then Kirby or Metroid, though? Maybe Metroid, but definitely not Kirby. Kirby might even be more popular then LoZ, really. >_>

Seriously, Zelda=/=popular to casual gamers, Kirby is popular all around. And a "good" DK game hasn't come out since DK64, though I just dislike the series in general. <_<

Zelda is still a massively popular series, the casual gamer is mostly the minority when it comes to these things. And you have a bias against DK then, so you can't comment.

I find it funny that I frequent a Smash Bros. Board, but I never consider it a series like the rest of them when ranking them.

Probably because it's pretty much a spin-off series of every other series. <_<

Probably.
Anywho, I expected Mega Man to be higher than 18th... Even Crash has sold more.
Unless that's just the classic series...
