David: [his eyes go wide as he's thrown off-balance, leaving him open]

Angela: ...You are both aware that I'm a vampire, and not above biting, aren't you? *Grumbles*


Nara: Hmhm... you clearly don't remember enough, yet! *Tries to sweep his legs out from under him*

Nestia: Are you aware that I'm a doctor and therefore know how to do really nasty and painful things to a body?

David: [is sweeped and lands on his shoulders] Urgh!


Hinata: Girls... [somewhat sterner]

Angela: Nggrrr... fine.


Nara: *Jumps backwards, gets back into a ready stance*

Nestor: *working in his lab, tinkering with one of the projectors he set up on the walls*

Susan: *walks in and knocks on the open door* Anyone about?

Nestor: Susan? *steps down from his stool and walks over* What are you doing here?

Susan: No need to be so accusatory. I just haven't dropped by in a while. Usually when you need me to take the kids you drop them off so I don't come in here much.

Nestor: Right, sorry.

Susan: So what are you working on? Anything big?

Nestor: Pretty big, yeah. *he walks back over to the projector*

Susan: Oh? *follows*

(No need for anyone to participate. Just a scene I wanted to do.)


Nestia: Mmrph... ¬_¬ *folds arms and crosses legs*

Hinata: Good... [looks at them and smirks, unable to resist] A-Anymore and I might have had to put you in timeout... ^_^


David: [growls and rolls back, also entering a stance] Damn it, damn it, damn it...!


(Oooh, colour me intrigued)

Angela: Watch it.


Nara: Oh? Not going to attack?

Hinata: S-Sorry...


David: [growls and runs straight at him again]

Nestor: You know how a while ago I was working on giving Sunny a holographic image so that people could see and interact with her properly instead of just hearing and speaking to her?

Susan: Oh yeah. You hit a bit of a dead end with it, didn't you?

Nestor: Yeah. I could project an image of her, but she'd still just be light. No tangibility. No proper interaction.

Susan: Y'know, Nestor, a lot of people would be satisfied with just that. I mean how many people expect a computer AI to be up and walking around as a physical being? A projected image as sophisticated as Sunny's is already impressive enough.

Nestor: Well yeah, but this wasn't about vanity or showing off my intelligence. If I could create working physical holograms, just think of the applications! They could be used as interactive training dummies, a back-up medical staff so Nestia isn't doing it all alone, they could even potentially be used as a line of defense against threats to the Dojo. And who better to use as a test subject than an already fully-sentient AI lke Sunny? If I can make it work for something as complex as her, I can certainly make it work for more basic programs!

Susan: *holds up her hands* Alright, alright, you've convinced me. So, what, you reckon you've had a breakthrough?

Nestor: Mmhm, I'd say I almost definately have! *seeming excited, he stops fiddling with the projector, walks over to the main computer console, sits down and starts typing*

Susan: *follows him over there and watches his progress*


Nestia: *goes back to carefully watching the match*


Evey: *wandering*

(Acknowledgement would be nice, but no-one actually bump into/speak to her just yet.)

Angela: *Smiles smugly to herself, hugging her plushie* Good.

Nara: *Gets into a ready stance again*


Sheena: *Walks out of the dojo gym, having finished her work-out*

Hinata: [also goes back to watching the fight]


David: [gets close and crouches low, going for an uppercut]


Franziska: [wandering the halls near Sheena and Evey, trying to get a feel for the place]

Nestor: Force fields.

Susan: What?

Nestor: Force fields, that's my breakthrough. Theoretically I can programme a generator to follow a holographic pattern set by a projector, thereby giving the illusion of solidity. I haven't tested it yet, and it could be very difficult to properly align a field with something so specific, complicated and potentially random as a sentient, humanoid projection, but still...

Susan: And that'll be it? We'll have a, for lack of a better expression, living and breathing Sunny walking around the lab?

Nestor: Not just the lab. My- *he catches himself, as if suddenly thinking he's said too much*


Nestia: Surely he'll be too fast for that...


*they enter the same hallway from opposite ends and Sheena can see Evey looking through her cards as she walks and can hear her, apparently absent-mindedly, singing quietly to herself. She won't be joining a choir anytime soon, but it's not nails down a blackboard either*

(Still no actual speaking just yet. And Franziska can interact too, I just mentioned Sheena because she was first.)

Nara: *Takes a quick step backwards, trying to get out of range*


Sheena: Hmm? *Is in a sports bra with shorts, a towel around her neck*
