I'm actually kinda surprised everybody has been so quiet in general. It's been complete silence from a bunch of folks I know who enjoyed Dark Souls 3 quite a bit. Among the folks who have played it, the overwhelming majority never talked about it while still in the process of playing it and all just kinda mentioned it after the fact as if it were an afterthought.

I haven't had the time to play it myself. This particular quarter has been brutal with work and class so even if I wanted to play more, I haven't found the time. Since I haven't played it in awhile I kept kind of forgetting the dlc was even around. I'm hoping to get some time in in the next few days at least.

Well I beat it. I enjoyed it more in the end, despite its length.

Played the Nier Automata demo. I think this is the only game with a set release date that I'm looking forward to this year.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that lol. I think with school taking up so much of my time and the huge time commitment that game will likely be, I just forgot about it. Definitely will play that in the summer.

it kinda burns my ass that they delayed that to april, aka **** month for college students. made some sense for dark souls 3 since that one spans a bunch of different age groups, but I'm sure like 50% of everyone who wants to play persona 5 is in school, including myself

It's actually a decent time for me, since I have one set of exams in mid-March and another in early June. But I just will not have the time to play long video games during the year. For that reason I think Nier Automata will be enough to play while I'm in school, assuming it's as long as the first Nier.

Zelda is also coming out in March which is pretty sweet, but that will also have to wait for the summer as well.

Well, I don't know if anyone here is interested in Nier Automata, but I'll give my thoughts. I'm not done, and I think I have a considerable amount left to go. That being said, I started off thinking it was just fine. I have to admit, I was a little disappointed after getting the first two endings, because at that point, I thought the game was just serviceable. But now I'm finally getting into that classic Yoko Taro madness territory, and it's starting to hit me how sad this might be. It's not nearly as messed up (or poorly told) as Drakengard 3, but this is still a very heavy game, and I actually care about the characters. Probably more than the characters of Nier even.

There are a few issues I have with the gameplay, but I don't know. With these games I'm always willing to overlook them if I like the story enough. I basically forgave all of the original Nier for its faulty gameplay. The music is also better than the original Nier's, which is a major accomplishment considering how much I adored that soundtrack.

I imagine I'll be thinking about this game long after I play it. Not many games do that to me anymore.

Yeah. I don't really want to give anything away, but I will mention that you can't say you've played the game until you get all five.

you know i like the 3ds a lot and i actually kind of want the new 2ds but "New Nintendo 2DS XL" is a mouthful

it looks really cool but i don't think i can justify getting a third 3ds unless the majora's mask one breaks or something

its a shame the dedicated handheld marketing is disappearing because i'd love to see the naming continue into ludicrousness
