I heard Axiom Verge is good.
Same with Transistor, I need to play that one, too.
Limbo is like 4 hours long, and if you like it then go play INSIDE (or just skip straight to INSIDE).
Haven't played Papers, Please.
Bastion is good and not that long.
I still need to beat Shovel Knight, but it's pretty great.

Alright, so I've been playing Zelda and it's pretty fun. I spent the majority of today running around the world activating a bunch of random towers and entering areas I'm probably too under-leveled for. I encountered some rock boss and almost ran away thinking I was going to have my shit handed to me, but it turned out to be a joke and didn't even attack me once, so that was neat. Still only have 4 hearts atm, and I want more.

I also found the Master Sword, but I couldn't use it. boo

Have you done anything cool yet? Not necessarily story wise since there's a ton of stuff to do.

Hm, I've mostly been running around the overworld. I went to some snowy area without any adequate armor or items to warm myself with, so I kept having to heal while on three hearts and avoiding getting one-shotted by enemies, so that was pretty exhilarating. It's fun just randomly exploring areas when you have no idea where you're going.

Yeah it rules. Its just really fun to run around and climb and jump off shit.

Alright, so I'm like 55ish hours into BotW. Got all the memories and all the shrines, so I think it's time to fight Ganon.

I really liked this game, but I think this will be the last open world game I will play in a long time barring RDR2. I was pretty interested in playing Horizon Zero Dawn for a while, but after playing this I just don't think I want to anymore. The idea of a game being completely open world has lost all of its novelty to me, which is kind of sad. I remember thinking how huge Hyrule Field was in TP and how great that was at the time, probably because it was one of the first games I played of that scale. But now every game touts the whole "you can go anywhere you see!" and it's just getting really boring, not to mention exhausting. It's like every blockbuster AAA game has to rely on being open world (MGS5, Fallout 4, Witcher 3, FF15, etc.). BotW did it well, and it's got a great world, but I have to admit I just don't feel like playing it anymore.

I am going to make an attempt at Persona 5 next, but I can't guarantee I'll ever finish that long as fuck game. The idea of pouring potentially 90 hours of my life into it is daunting. Alternatively, I might emulate some old game I never played like I did last summer with Chrono Trigger. Nioh could also be worth checking out. I also really want to check out Inside, because I just realized it's on PS4 now.
